Default Just when you thought nothing esle could POSSIBLY go wrong..

From the same great minds who brought you the carnage in "X2BOARD's Integra vs. the Volvo", and "VTC's Civic vs. Durango".. we bring you the newest installment of automotive oWnage:

VTC_GsR vs. 2003 Corolla...

..and what the bag did to my wife's arm..

My fear is that with both airbags deployed (over $2k right there) + the remaining 5k +/- in damage, they'll write the car off as a total loss.. after all the work me and my friend put into Guess I'll keep you guys posted..

Is the frame or anything bent? If not then I don't think it would be a total loss. Just looks like you need a bumper, hood, and fenders and you should be ok. Sorry bout the car though man and hope your wife is not seriously hurt.

I know I have one airbag from a 94 LS, I have to find the other one. Let me know if you need them. I also have the wiring harness, computer, and sensors from the airbag system.

Oh no man, I saw your recent posts and the hard work you've been putting in the car along with the headaches. I'd be heartbroken.
Well if they dont write it off I guess this is an opporitunity for a jdm front

Yes, since the airbags and windshield are well over $2000, the car will probably be totalled, like I'm expecting to happen with my Civic. Cool thing is, you buy the car back from the insurance company, get a new windshield, and put in an aftermarket wheel and ditch the airbags. Costs you about $600

That really sucks, but be optimistic.

Cloud - Wrecked car.

Silver Lining - It didn't get stolen.

Well, the insurance co. hasn't even seen the car yet, so I have no idea what they're going to do. I'm hoping that since the damage to the car is purley cosmetic (aside from the bumper & radiator support), they'll fix it. If they do write it off, the car is at my folks house so hopefully I'll have time to rip everything I can off the car before they take it!

I'm a little weary of tampering with it before they see it, regardless they won't take it the same day so I can push it into my folks garage and get to work!

I work for a insurance company and they will give you 3 days to pull everything off, my friend had a gsr and totaled it wasnt his fault we pulled everything out and put all civic stuff in it even the motor so now theres a hooked up Civic for nothing,So word of advice pull the motor also as long as theres a motor in the car they dont care Oh and it has to run also..You can make a Dx motor work in there trust me!!! Pull the interior and put civic stuff in there good way too hook your friends up for cheap..Or find a Eg running and take all the stuff of that dont waste your time buying the car back if u have something to replace all the stuff with...

PS i have 2 Airbags if u need the and a Red hood...
