There is no "best" way to secure a vehicle, because if a professional thief wants your car, they're going to get. However, to make it harder you should layer your security measures (ie, alarm, autlock, club, kill switch, lojack, etc.)

take your tires off every night.
drain gas tank.
remove ecu.
remove steering wheel.
lower the car on it self, ie (no cynderblocks or jack stands holding it up).
sleep in it.
with a gun.
get a batman cave. where the driveway opens up.

no car is steal PROOF.

place a sticker on your car by the steering wheel:

"Look up...you are on COPS!"

j/p do what ever you can to help reduce the chances of your car getting stolen....car alarm, club, autolock, kill switch, etc....

and PRAY!!!!

Many layers of security is the goal.

Make it as hard as possible to get your car. Good alarm, kill switches, etc...

A garage is probably the best anti-theft. One with a steel door and a good lock.

Parking in a well lit area helps. Those f!@#$%s like to use the cover of darkness so they won't be seen. My driveway looks like Yankee Stadium now.
