My steering wheel is shaking when i get to a certain speed
I've had the car for a couple of months now, got rims on it and have had it dropped since then. I'm sure that that has something to do with it, but not too sure. I'm really not sure when it started shaking. I checked all the nuts on it and haven't had a flat. It only does it when i get on the highway arould 65 mph. will a rotation help or could it be something else?
Rebalance wheels...
Wheels might be cheap...or bent
Bad tires....
But go with the rebalancing the wheels first
Check for loose front end parts : Tie Rod Ends, CV Boots, etc...

What he said.
If you rotate your tires, you could possibly rule out tire issues, as long as the shaking is in your steering wheel.
FYI, when I had a shaking steering wheel at higher speeds, it was a combination of loose lower ball joints and tie rod ends. That sucked.

When you buy new rims and lower your car, you should also get an alignment. I went through my first set of tires pretty quick because the toe was out on the front and rear with the new rims. Plus, shaking at around 60 mph usually means your alignment is off. Shaking at 50 or 70 mph usually means your tires are out of balance.
like everyone said, your alignment is probably out of whack and has been since you lowered the car, the bad alignment might have caused you to wear out a suspension component
