Okay, my dad's civic ('97 ex w/98 d16y8) is having problems running normal. It'll run for a little (10-15 miles) and just quit on him. He has too wait a little and drive again for another short distance. He says the length of the drive did improve with injector cleaner through the gas, but the problem still exists. BTW, I don't think the fuel filter has been changed since he's had the car...+,- 90,000 miles ago.... I know I know, thats not good. Could it just be a fuel filter....maybe a pump/injectors?? If he can't drive he work (drives to different counties in the area), and that makes my mom a bit worried and tense.
Please any help is appreciated.
BTW he had his distrubutor replaced a week ago, if that can affect anything so soon.

 

You just answerd your own question there buddy... Change the fuel filter.

 

yeah, start there, buy some fuel injector cleaner, then if you are still having probs, start looking at the map sensor, and o2 sensors
