I'm sick of driving in hot sunny day without a/c........ having the windows open doesn't do any good, wind is hot and messes up my hair! So I'm thinking of getting some a/c from wreckers, anybody done it before? Can I only use a/c from integras or any Honda cars? Thanks a lot in advance...

 

you will need to get it from an Integra, dont forget the A/C button on the dash, blower motor under the dash, and all the misc. lines and hoses.
I would try to buy it off an ITR owner who is gutting out their A/C, because you could both swap parts.

 

Too bad I just took mine out and sold it for $500! You can order the KIT from acura...I think its like $1100 or so. If you have any questions about the parts, or install, let me know. I just went through all this!!

Got mines from a salvage yard (from a wrecked ITR) a couple of years ago for only $350, so it's definitely possible.

since i got the same problem with u be4 but after i tinted it's alright now...
but if u get a AC is hella expensive tho....
i will buy it if it's really cheap ....

Man, I've paid around 1500$ CAN installed, taxes includes at the dealer when I got my '00 ITR! But shop around many people are selling their A/C (good 40 lbs) to save here)! I didn't have A/C in my '99 ITR and I did regret it... When I traded my '99 for the '00 ther A/C was the first and only option in my mind...

Since when BC is so hot??? I have spent many months (all during the summer) in BC and never find really hot! Drop by Montreal or Toronto these days and you'll feel what hot and humid is.... I'm talking above 100 degrees F or 40 C...

 

1500cdn for brand spanking new a/c with install isn't bad. However I might do a trade with a fellow board member, details are still in discussion tho.

A/C hardly use it.

But some days, man you gotta use it.

Useful in winter I hear to defog the windows.
