Want to boost B18b, found a 95 eagle talon turbo (t25 i think?) for 350 shipped
I think this turbo will fit my desires well, small, incredibly fast spooling. What other expenses am i looking at to get this turbo into my 98 LS, and what other parts will i need? Suggestions?
id suggest trying the Forced Induction forum but from what i know youll need a b-series exhaust mani. and a matching flange for the snail of yours...and a t25 is a pretty good turbine to start with. HAVE FUN!
it'll work. my buddy(shea from idaho speedcenter) used a dsm turbo on his b18b in a civic hatch for autocrossing. very nice and straightforward setup and very much effective. he also used the intercooler from the dsm so plumbing wasn't as diffucult. the exhaust was custom made however. you can usually find used turbos for a little bit cheaper, but they aren't very effective when aged.
T25 is really way to small for a B18B, if you look at the compressor maps it will fall out of effeciency very quickly.
I would get a smaller T3 if you want fast spooling.
Hell my friends T3/T4B fully spools by 4,000rpm and its MUCH larger than the smaller T3 trims.

got a buddy who would sell the t25 turbo and intercooler for the dsm cars for 200 bills. Contact speechild8000@aol.com for details.
Holy crap man, they're right, don't dish out more than about $100 for a T25 in good condition. They're sweet turbos for our motors I hear, they aren't too efficient at high boost, but who needs that...high boost I mean about 15 psi or more, I'd imagine T25's handle about that.
Good turbo though, I think http://www.homemadeturbo.com did a few projects with T25's, I'm too lazy to check though. They'll have a detailed explanation of how they put it on, what parts they used, the price, and definately tons of pictures. It's a good place to start looking around with any turbo setup.
