It serves me right for buying something cheap as soon as i bought my car (obx bomb muffler). Whenever my revs hit around 3000rpm, i get the distinct buzzzzzzzz, above and below it sounds just fine, and if i slowly rev past 3, no buzz. It's when i even remotely put any pressure to the pedal, it's a rattling buzz, straight from the muffler. Assuming the internals of the muffler have rusted, is there anything i can maybe even spray into the muffler to fix the sound ???? Is there any solution to stop the buzz? I've got an apex-i N1 universal muffler coming, but it's already 2 weeks late arriving, and i'd like to sell this thing if the sound can be salvaged.any help would be great.

 

its probly not your muffler..more then likely its the common problem that many gsr owners have, a crack in one of the welds on the downpipe....do a search its been covered countless times.

 

I'll have to get my car up in the air i guess.....I just figured that since there is not the usual heat shield rattle heard at the front of the vehicle, and only a buzz from the exhaust, that it must be the muffler.
