jdm hid ballast wiring hacked up. Help if you can. Plz
Ok I have been searchign for about an hour on jdm hid wiring and have not came to a conclusion. So here goes.
I got a set of used jdm hid ballast from my buddy. They were from a wrecked car. There is only 1 bulb present and its smashed.
So I plan on getting new bulbs and soldering them in. since most new bulbs come with the wiring and not just a bulp.
So my question is do I need to use a relay of anykind with the jdm ballast? Or a fuse inline.
Also There is a white wire and a red wire going to the bulb. Is the red pos and the white negative?
Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks David

You dont need a relay. The ballast takes the car voltage and steps it up.
Red is usually pos, but it doesnt matter, a light bulb would work even if you reversed the leads.
