jdm hid ballast wiring hacked... Help if you can
Ok I have been searchign for about an hour on jdm hid wiring and have not came to a conclusion. So here goes.
I got a set of used jdm hid ballast from my buddy. They were from a wrecked car. There is only 1 bulb present and its smashed.
So I plan on getting new bulbs and soldering them in. since most new bulbs come with the wiring and not just a bulp.
So my question is do I need to use a relay of anykind with the jdm ballast? Or a fuse inline.
Also There is a white wire and a red wire going to the bulb. Is the red pos and the white negative?
Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks David

you cant simply solder it in like that. you will have to cut the smash bulb bases and rewire it yourself, (unless, you want to fry something from water) in which case I would not recommend if you are not an expert at wiring, as your dealing with a lot of juice.
I am pretty good with wiring. I will be soldering the wires and shrinkwrapping. Thanks for your advies. So I can just soldier the new bulbs on.
Do u advise against cutting off the old bulbs with sockets? That way I can attach new bulbs and sockets onto the ballast by soldering.
Thanks David
