Yes it does affect cam timing, the more you mill it, the larger it affects the timing.

yes it will tetard.(heheh) ignition timming ...you will gain power from the mill but at the same time lose due to the timming.....this can be fixed with adj cam gears..

p.s how much you milling the heaed..if you just cleaning it up dont worry to much about it

i think it retards the cam and would take away from low end but add more uptop. A friend of mine had his milled .020 and he didnt believe that it retarded his cams and wants proof of it and wants to know how it would retard the cam.
