LSD on GSR (type R or CTR, where to find?) Lotza ?s
Both will fit on my GSR correct?.. (by the way I'm not doing this myself.. I got help)
Quaiffe is too much for me..
and from what I understand I can find an ITR for around 300 .. (where?)
all I can find is CTR on ebay..
I wont need a shim if I get new bearings right?

type r will, i don't know about CTR. i doubt you could find a low mileage ITR lsd for less than 400, but good luck, anything's possible.
even if you get new bearings, you have to put the tranny back together with the new lsd installed (minus the hondabond), then measure the clearance from bearing to housing (with the current shim in place). if this exceeds .1 mm then you have to order the correct shim to reduce the clearance to less than .1 mm.
the install is pretty straightforward, just make sure you replace the oil seals on the tranny and the spring clips on the axels that lock them in place.
oh yeah - make sure you keep all the bolts from different areas in labeled containers - it makes the reassembly MUCH easier.
have fun!

Why do people post wrong answers? This is incorrect info. before i bought my R, I installed a JDM R LSD in my tranny. The actual measurement that is done is a preload measured in foot pounds. you install the LSD, put the tranny togther and then using a torque measurement wrench, install shims until the breakaway(when the lsd turns). The factory preload tolerence is 18.7-26.9 Ft pounds. The shims have NOTHING to do with .1 mm clearence. If the preload is not within factory tolerences you install the next larger size up shim until you hit the right preload. If you really want to know how to do this, buy the manual, dont listen to the morons that "think" they know

Not 100% sure, but I believe the CTR tranny is the same as the USDM ITR tranny, so I don't know why the LSD woudn't fit. I was also told by someone who has done such installs that the CTR LSD does fit the Integra GSR tranny.
any of those will fit. the speed sensor gear that comes with them will not work on your final drive gear, no big, you wll be swapping your current final drive over. two of the LSD's in those links do not have tapered roller bearings, also not a big deal. you will want to install new bearings anyway, and then shim according to specs.
