Default exhaust problem or what..?

recently got a 28 in. glasspack installed on my CRX. 2.5 in piping all the way to a MagnaFlow straight through muffler. I have no CAT, so in sequential order is my header, glasspack, 2.5 piping, and my muffler.
The problem is ever since I got my glasspack installed, at freeway speed when I'm on it with the gas, a SSSSHHHHHHHHHHH sound would occur to what it seems like its coming from is the front right wheel area somewhere. If I'm driving on the streets at moderate speed and let off the gas without putting my car in neutral, the SSSSSHHHHHHHHH sound would occur again.

I took it to my local mechanic since I couldn't figure it out and he told me it is a exhaust problem and referred me back to the muffler shop that I had my glasspack installed at. We lifted my car up and the muffler shop verified that nothing under my car was hitting anything. We shook the piping and made sure nothing was hitting/scraping anything. The guy at the muffler shop told me its not an exhaust problem, otherwise there would be marks showing on parts of my exhaust that was hitting.

I think for sure it has to deal with the ehxaust, but I'm not sure what could cause the SSSSSSHHHHHHH sound. It sounds to me that the sound is coming from the front right wheel area. There is nothing wrong with my wheel or anything as I have checked it thoroughly. Ever since I got the glasspack installed, 3 days after it started to make that SSSSHHHH noise all of a sudden.

Do any of you guys might know what the problem could be and what I should I do to correct it?

Two possibilities are a leak and the glass moving around and partially blocking the exhaust. Glasspacks can be a bad idea due to the glass being loose in there and sometimes coming out of the muffling area into the outflow area. I've seen a muffler that blew up from that.

My bet on yours is a leak somewhere at one of the joints or even the muffler itself. Significant backpressure from the glasspack could also cause it. If you don't find a leak, consider a steel baffle style one in its place.

If you can remove it, look for fiberglass coming out of it. For an alternate type, try some of the traditional hot rodder places like Summitt, or even JC Whitney or possibly Nopi. I would still check the one you have for any leaks first. Glasspacks have a problem dealing with too much heat, like near the header, that the fiberglass overheats and breaks down, then blows out.

How can you tell if the fiberglass inside the glasspack is bad? I'm going to go to the muffler shop and have them remove my glasspack.
