Anyone running Honda HX wheels.....
Conference rules will only allow a 14x6 for the CRX in FP. I picked up a set of HX wheels..
They're 14x5.5 with a 50mm offset. Only 11.75 lbs each. Wondering if anyone has run these and what size spacer u might have used. I'm thinkin' 15mm would do it.
Ideas??? Thanks

No spacers?
No spacers?
FP needs real Slicks to be competitive at all.
From my EP Autocross car experience...(I run 13s all around)
A 20x9.5x14 (avaliable?) on a 5 inch backspace will need a 1/4 inch spacer to clear the hub upright.
Well, the part of the steering knuckle that goes to the ball joint to the upper arm.
A 20x8 will fit, no rub.
But,
In the rear, a 20x8 won't fit with a 5 inch backspace. (the 20x9.5 section width is even wider)
A 1/4 spacer won't totally eliminate the rub, but reduce it.
The solution? A 4 1/2 inch backspace.
Stock Honda wheels are 5 inch back space.
Need further explaination?
PM me.
