Default Si cam..do I need Si timing belt too?

Hey guys, already did the MPFI swap and getting ready to install the Si cam...just wondering if I'll need the Si timing belt...I've heard of people having trouble with their timing when using the Si head...just wondering what the deal is.Thanks in advance.

no you still use the d15b timing belt. if you want to get it timed correctly (for 89-91 si cam) you'll need an adjustable cam gear

line up the bottom line on the cam to the little notch in the plastic cover under the cam gear

Sorry to jack it but if you put an Si cam in the d15 can you still use the d15 gear? Or do you have to use the Si one? The timing marks are diff but they shoudl install the same right?

the cam gears are the same. the si cam has marks for the si timing and the dx. the dx cam gear also has both sets of marks.

i tried the SI cam marking when i did my head swap, it idled and drove like ****. aligned the cam back to the 2 dx markings and voila, smooth idle. Although pick up isnt what it should be...i guess the adju. cam gear is a must...anyone?
