89' Mugen Crx body kit, what yr bumper lights? does anyone know? is it the 88-89 or 90-91? thanks

 

Depends on the kit. They have 88-89 and 90-91 kits I believe.

 

if it is real mugen 88-89 (smaller) bumper lights

 

I find it hard to go by just the years alone, since we had 88-89/90-91 in the US. But this car was released a year earlier in Japan and they had much different trim levels.

There were two Mugen kits. One was for the JDM Si (ZC), 1.5x, etc. Actually, it was probably for anything that wasn't an SiR. It will use the USDM 88-89 bumper lights. This is the style that Wings West based their kit off of. It's straightforward to fit onto a US car since the hood and headlights are similar.

The other kit was for the SiR which will use the wraparound bumper lights from that car. So the top part expects a SiR hood (which has a shallower middle part) and the SiR headlights (wider, corners of lens stick in more). You can also tell by the 2 smaller ducts. These will be much larger (taller) than the ZC/Wings West style. If you need these, brand new ones pop up on Ebay every once in a while.
