What is the difference between these 2 cat back exhaust systems, do they sound about the same? if not how so? which one is louder? please help me, i'm not sure which one i should buy

 

magnaflow has a stright through design like the spoon n1 and the Apex is like a giant stock exhaust.

 

if you want quiet , get WS

I use the Maganflow and it only got loud when I added the DC 4:1 Header. Both pretty much produce similar hp, although I found the Magnaflow lesser in price and actually lighter in weight...

 

what bout sound though, is the magnaflow 2 db's or so higher?

i want a WS but i cant see the justice in paying $417

 

my magnaflow is a tad high for my tastes though... i wonder if there is a way to get a deeper note...?

I got magnaflow cat-back and I liked it alot. It' not loud. It's life-time warranty. I don't think JDM exhaust systems are life-time warranty.

I don't think Magnaflow offers a 2.5" cat back for our cars.

NA car doesn't need 2.5".

yeah your right built N/A 1.8 dohcs don't need 2.5" .... ..

 

I put the Apexi WS on my 93 Si and it was nice and quiet until it gets to about 4500 rpm. Sitting next to a cop at a stop light and starting off real easy doesn't attract any attention. I never got pulled over for anything. I think the short ram intake made more noise than the catback.

Depends what your shooting for man. TQ or high end HP.

got a apexi ws on my 92 hatch also my aem short ram is louder then it. plus the bling factor at night when the head lights reflect off the massive muffler its like a giant mirror. cops never bother me nice and quiet. all the sound only makes it feel fast really.

 

magnaflow recomends 2 1/4 to 2 1/2" for V6 s and 2 to 2 1/4" for 4 s..its also quiet possible to have a much louder exhaust if ur piping is larger than ur motor really needs

 

do they make the WS in full SS anymore?
