There is also the "version 0" which is the original. Only costs about 450.
For NA cars thats all you need.

Ohhhh ok...so, lol what does it do? from what I can gather it detects abnormalities in your a/f ratio and changes your timing ??

detects detonation and retards timing accordingly.
