Just got my H22 swap about 5 minutes ago, how do I tell if the tranny is LSD?
Hi I just got my H22 swap and I can't tell if my tranny is LSD or not, please help. I don't see the LSD stamp on the tranny. I bought this motor from HMO.

Look through the differential and check if there is a bar running through. If not then it is LSD, if there is then in is NON-LSD.
Stick your finger in and see if there is a bar the runs through the center.
tHANKS, I just took it out and it is completely see through, no shafts coming through vertically.

i'm not sure if this is true... but can't you jack the front of the car up when it's in neutral, then turn one of the wheels and if it has an LSD, the other tire will turn in the same direction... if it's not an LSD tranny, the other tire will turn the opposite direction?
for example, when i would turn my drivers side tire in the direction as if it were driving down the street, the passenger side tire would also be moving in the same direction.
i have an LSD and i noticed this when i put my car on my buddies lift to replace an axle.
in an open differential, when you turn the drivers side tire forward... the passenger side tire turns backwards.
anyone know if this is true?

go to a empty FLAT parking lot and rev car up to 1500 and let the clutch out with your hands off the wheel... if the stering wheel jerks hard to one side its NOT LSD but if it'll go straight you have LSD

Just curious...did you buy the optional LSD...or just get it by luck? Cause my friend bought a B16 from jspecjdm.net and it came with LSD for some strange reason even though he bought the non-LSD. If you had the same luck my friend did...damn...I know for sure I'm goin to get my gf's H22 from HMO...cause I've heard nothing but good things about them.
