question about itr strut bar installation
ok ive had the bar on for quite some time but yesterday i went to check the nuts and bolts that hold it on and noticed one was stripped..i think when i had my suspension done 2 weeks ago the shop overtighted it and stripped the threads...
my question(s)..
when u put the bolt up through the wheel well is there supposed to be a washer on the bolt to keep the bolt from going/tearing through the wheel well area...and should a washer be put on before u tighten the nut down or just tighten the nut down on the bar...i want to know the best way to have it on...thanks

You should not have to put a bolt up through the engine bay because it should be welded to the car. My ITR does not have any washers to hold the bar down. The nuts should have a flange toward the bottom to keep the bar down tight. Just tighten the nut down on the bar.

Non-vtec integra's don't come with an OEM strut bar, so there aren't any bolts, but instead plastic covers. When I put on a strut bar, I used a washer on the fender side.

im guessing the biggest washer u could fit on the bolt with out it sliding off the other end right...

Just take off one bolt, go to Home Depot and ask for fender washers. Those have pretty big outside diameter.
On the side note, I use lock nuts on the strut bar to prevent things from vibating apart.

ha, i work at home depot, and we've got **** loads of different sized outer diameter fender washers, and lock washers aren't a bad idea either. that way you get it tight enought to not come loose, but not too tight. **** hot.
