Possibly hydrolock the motor???!!!
Ok my friend has an 2000 celica gts...I know its not a honda but I need some input. He drove through a pretty big puddle and his car died. It doesnt crank over at all. It makes this rapid clicking noise, Prolly the statter. his car has been sitting for 2 weeks since it happened and I pulled his plugs today and there was rust on them...Which definately means there is water in the motor. Is there anything we can do to possibly save the motor or give us a chance of the cars motr not being totally dead? Need help asap! Thanks
do a compression test and see what the situation is but ill say change the plugs 4 sure and see if the distributor will spark with the new plugs also when you start the car try to advance the timing a bit (distributor)
but if the plugs are rusted then most likely the cylinders are to and the rings might not seat properly just start with new plugs, advanced timing, then do a compression test

Remove all of the plugs, unplug the fuse controlling the fuel pump, and spin the motor over a few times to expel any left over water (doing this right away would have been better). Change the oil (there's likely some moisture in there). Change the plugs. Plug that fuel pump fuse back in once it's all reassembled and start it up.
