First of all to all the pep's who like to say *search*, Go Suck a Lemon , ive searched but it seems as if alot of people have different opinions on the sound of the exaust. Im looking for a n1 style muffler or something that will look good and sound nice on my 95 b16 powered cx hatchback at a good price. post pics comments about the muffler, and if possible a sound clip. Please only post if u have personally had experience with the exhaust.
are u looking for a full system, or just a muffler?
Apex'i N1 is the obvious choice.
Tanabe Racing Medallion
Spoon N1
Mugen N1
thats all i can think of

if your looking for somethig stock looking that performes well, go with the es oval
if you want performance and dont give a **** how loud it is, go with the 5zigen fireball, the Apexi n1, or spoon n1, all very good from my experience, but a little on the loud side and a target for cops

Yea those are nice personally i like the Greddy Sp look or the Old School Rs*R Exmag its very quiet basically stock quiet and its a cool look
so the es ovals ARE quiet...i wasn't sure. i have an n1 style ti muffler on my kteller piping without(dare i say it) a resonator and its really loud...i hate it
i am looking for something quiet to replace it with...and they are the right price.

I run a real small resonator with the ES, and it's fairly noisy. I suspect a good sized resonator would tame the noise. Right now, it snap crackles and pops on coast-down. I personally have fun listening to it, but my neighbors (I'm sure) hate it.

i got a dynomax race magnum muffler. was pretty loud and very deep, but it was raspy when it wasn't fully warmed up
so i put in a 24 inch resonator, and it quieted things down, now the muffler sounds really good. just a tad bit louder than stock, and still straight through. can't hear it on the freeway, and doesn't have that annoying drone. but i'm sure any similar muffler will work, like the es oval, magnaflow, etc. etc. the dynomax i got was about 60 dollars, with employee discount. no complaints here
