Is there any way to remove a painted on pinstripe? Wetsand, chemicals, ect... I have a 94 Stealth Grey Mist Sedan and it has a purple pinstripe. I thought it was a stick-on-stripe before i bought it and when i got the car home i was going to remove it but i found it to be painted on. It is painted on over the clear coat. Any help would be great.

 

two words...reactive reducer

you can probably pick it up at paint store (car quest, sherman williams, etc...)

just a little elbow grease and a lot of reactive reducer will get that pinstrip off in no time.

nope...it won't mess up the clearcoat, i've done it on my integra and i was told to use reactive reducer by a guy who paints on pinstrips, said he uses it if he messes up or drips some paint.
