(200f, 320 r spring rates and 2.25 drop all around). Now it's definitely time for new shocks, but my oems held up for quite a while.

i have coil-over sleeves 200f/100r spring rates...i had them slammed at lowering 3 inches for a couple months, then just 2 inches lowered all around, for over 1.5 years and 18,000 miles. They're still good, i just got aftermarket shocks just cause stock shocks and aftermarket springs are bad combos

200f/100r really isn't stiffer than stock. Neuspeed race, on the other hand, are VERY stiff springs. I wouldn't pair them up with stock shocks for any amount of time. Regardless of whether or not they blow, they can't handle the increased spring rate, and your ride is going to suck. Bad. Hold out a little longer until you can afford some shocks, IMO.

just lowering the car already reduces the dampening potential of your stock shocks

depends on your driving, and road conditions, if u can slow down for everylil bump then stocks are gonna last a wail, if u're sick of tires rubbing the finder, then get some Shocks....
It also depends on the condition of the shocks currently so it's hard to say. But changing shocks and springs can be a big job especially if the bolts on your car haven't been loosened before. Why do all the work twice when you get the money for shocks? Just save up.
