How to SAFELY shave badging?
I want to shave the alphanumeric 325i badge on my 92 BMW. What is the SAFEST way to do it that will not harm the clearcoat or leave any trace WHATSOEVER that there was an emblem there?
LOL, a chainsaw will work great.
If the badge is glued on, heat it up with a hair dryer (be careful to not get the paint too hot, though), and use fishing line or floss to gently cut away the glue from the badge. I always use Goo Gone afterwards to remove the glue that remains on the car. Some people told me it will eat away paint or something, but it turned out fine when I used it on my Civic to remove the rear "H" emblem.
