Default Getting a Greddy Turbo Kit for my EM1!

I found a really good deal thats very hard to let go of. Basically the guy was offering me a full greddy turbo kit, brand new with fuel management , and the bigger greddy intercooler all for $2200 installed. Thats an awesome price, but if i buy it I wont have any money for internals. Would it be safe to drive on stock internals daily at 5psi ? And sometimes when i race at weekends at 9 or 10 psi? Will it be safe?

i dont think it can be asured for it to be safe. when you boost there will always be a chance that something will break, so i would say put some cash aside for "incase **** happens" kinda thing.

That's a good point. When I was learning about turbos, people always advised me to have an extra car and/or a bunch of money in reserve to fix what breaks. It's definitely wise to make sure you will have extra cash when turbocharged. Something will break or need upgrading. I never believed it, but I ended up having to upgrade my clutch and then, wisely, my fuel setup. But at 5 psi, as long as you're tuned properly with a good a/f, your rods should be able to handle the extra power w/o a problem. Have fun being boosted.
