Default falken azenis?

Ok my bro is looking at getting some falken azenis. There is two different kinds however. ONe has a weird tread pattern and the other a more normal looking pattern. Which would be better for drag racing? Thanks.

i'd say the more straight pattern is better for dry traction.. The Curvy trread is better for wet roads... The only real tire for drag racing is Bald

The Azenis "Sports" are what you need. The one with massive tread blocks. The other one looks like a 712 or AVS ES100 if I remember right. Go with the Azenis "Sports".

Azenis are not meant for drag racing.
but the Azenis Sport are the ones known for better traction.

Well no they are not meant for drag racing, but they are pretty sticky tires that would grip better, drag radial would be better

alot of people will tell you no, as they are a summer tire and are meant for dry weather but they are ok for the rain as long as you drive responsibly and avoid standing water.

these tires are so badass, i love them, outstanding traction, cornering is so great, and the wet traction is still very good. but the treadlife if very short. all my friends tell me i will get maybe 6 months out of the tires. oh well, i want traction!

one is a street tyre, one is a semislick tyre.

the street one wears better, semi slick grips better my friends that are running on the st115 (street ones) aren't happy with the performance.

they are fair - good in rain when they are brand new, but when that tread depth starts going down is when you have to carefull.

how big will 205/50/15 's look on stock '00 GSR swirls? (stock 195 tire) will it looked bowed out too much? Does anyone have a pic of this combination? Im sure its the most common setup.

true its better than the other Falken's for the wet roads, but when it comes down to it, in comparison to other tires, I would not rely on Azeni's for rain and snow... they have bad wet traction.
BTW: I know this is off-topic... I'm just giving some advice
