Default Just got my alignment done, now car wanders..... (suspension gurus -help!)

I got a sheet with all my numbers... check 'em out. Some of the numbers seem to be out of spec... I watched the guy do my whole alignment and he explained everything he was doing, it was really cool, the guy seems like a totally straight up cool guy. He's a honda guy, even... so I want to believe that my alignment is just fine... but the car doesn't act like it.

1. I have a CRAZY amount of throttle steer now. when i'm shifting hard, i let up off the gas and the wheel jerks to the right.

2. The bitch wanders all over the place, it's pretty subtle but it's friggin annoying!!! When i'm on the freeway I hold the wheel in one place and my car kinda decides to drift back and forth just a little bit... the only thing to prevent this is constantly turning the wheel back and forth to correct for this.... The steering wheel feels "loose."

3. I also have a lot of bump steer, i had bump steer before but now it seems worse...

I know EXACTLY what your problem is.... I just fixed it on my del sol... After a 4-wheel alignment and new tires..... The inner bushing on one of your LCA's is torn to ****.... You can easily repair by picking up a new LCA!!! I got mine from an import auto dismantler for $50!!! I am SOOOOOOO happy that pull is gone!!!

Your rear camber is in SPEC but it is all the way maxed to one direction. They need to put shims in the rear and fix that camber and it will probably be a lot better.

I don't know if this'll help at all but try checking your tire pressure...

K, I'll replace the lca's.

Do you guys think that a steering rack "spacer" would help with my bump steer? I've heard that these work..... I don't know crap about no spacer... do you guys?

well, how about you inspect them first before you replace them?

it could be from uneven tire wear, or needed rotation. for all we know, it could be the freeway tilt.

this guy is most likely right... if your caster is excessive its most likely the lower control arm... and if it was the camber that was excessive it would probably be your strut or knucle that is bad... check the bushings before you replace them though... good luck

Yeah, definately check before replacing, but I can almost guarantee it is an LCA bushing... Especially if it pulls when you accelearate... It will go straight when braking, but when you punch it, one wheel moves forward and out, causing it to steer another direction....
