i'd go with 215/45....the profile is smaller and it's wider which translates to more grip...

I was thinkin that, but it seems it would be a pretty tight fit on a 6.5. Wouldn't this create a bit of a bulge, and cause the tire to crown?

I have 215/45 Azenis on 16x6.5 and they're fine.

Falken themselves only approve the 215/45-16 for rim widths of 7.0-8.0". I'd go with the 205/55, personally. Then again, falken sponsors people who put a 215/45-17 on a 17x9 wheel, so I'm not sure what their word is worth.
