Soon as my clutch started slipping shifting became bad?
I know my clutch is worn but would it cause bad shifting... I noticed egg smell from my car when i revved it hard and my clutch wasn't grabbing. I adjusted the cable to help a lil, the egg smell went away, but the clutch still doens't grab hard. Now when I shift, it doesn't go in smoothly and will sometimes grind... especially when upshifting into all the gears at high rpm ecept into 5th. The tranny gears and syncros were replaced 1500 miles ago with good ones and like I said, the tranny had no problmes until I started smelling that egg smell and the clutch was slipping. Put it this way, if I drive normally the shifting is fine, just went it starts getting into high rpm and quick shifting does it grind. I have an ACT 6 puck in there right now and I want to go back to a full faced setup...
synchros bro also have you checked the fluid clutch resevoir is it properly bled and stuff. could be a new clutch do you be doin bunrouts and raing your call all day or most of the time dont be lyin now your cars tellin the truth.
no need to lie, that's the story, shifting jsut wnet bad all of a sudden, one day to the next like the clutch. It was during break in period as well so i wasn't busting it crzy... as in I ran it a handful of times to test.... it was all good.... I cahnged the tranny fluid after i noticed the problems, not sure how it is suppose to look, but it looked greyish/milky color... I jsut don't see how the syncros could go with no signs after 1200 miles of driving...
