Default For those of you who did the Sedan handle swap...

Could you get the lock rod off? Mine worked fine for many months. Now the damn lock rod started to slip off this zip tie I used to hold it to the handle rod (to keep the lock rod from flapping around). The way my keyless is is if it feels any feedback it will open the doors back up. So that stupid *** lock rod is binding against something making my doors open back up. I took the door panel off and tried to see how the lock rod came off but there is part of the door in front of it and I can't even see it. Someone on here said it was easy. I fail to see how it comes off. Anyone want to give me an idea?

on mine i just wrapped it in a bunch of duct tape so it wouldnt rattle around and i left it in there

to get it off unbolt/screw everything (i think 3 screws on the interior door handle) and then i think 3 more on the door latch after that the latch assembly can kind of be pushed around and you can at least see what you're trying to do.

One of mine just slipped out, easy as pie.

The other I manhandled by accident, and broke off the plastic that it's mounted to.

Same result, different tactics. Really, you can just break it off at the bottom - you're never going to use it again anyway, right?

Eh I rather not just smash it apart incase I ever need to put the old handles back. I wonder if I had to transfer title would the car pass inspection? So just in case I want it in 1 piece.
