I am driving back across the country and my old stereo bought it. IT was a Kenwood flip face and it just up and died, face won't flip anymore. So I went and bought a RAmpage by Audiovox detachable face CD player for 100bux. I install it and all is good for about a week. Today I get in my car hit the power and the thing is just static noise. I can still here the CD and it seems taht the Static is in synce with the bass hits. So I crank the bass/volume down and voila it works. Now if I turn either back up static noise. By the way this is in a 95 CX hatch. I am thinking it's got to be a grounded out connection or something but I really don't want to tear it apart, help.

Cliffs: New stereo worked for a week now static crap when bass and or volume is up too high.

 

It may be a bad ground
