Default zex 59300 in y8 head-cam timing question

i have a y8 swap in my 93 cx and i just recently installed a zex stage 2 cam(59300) for a z6 along with an adjustable cam gear. my question is this-i read in several posts here on ht that in order to install the 59300 cam in the y8 you had to advance the cam timing to 5 degrees. but i am confused because the cam gear i bought says that every mark = 2 degrees at the crank. i have it set at 5 degrees right now and it runs strong, just ran a 15.4 @ 87. but i want to make sure i have it at the right setting. so since i have it set at 5 degrees right now does that mean that i have it advanced to 10 degrees?? i really hope not!

5 crank degrees = 2.5 ticks on the cam gear.
