Ive got a JDM B16a in my civic, and it pull spretty hard on top end like it has cams, harder then all the other b16's around here (even with low compression cuz my rings are toast) so today i was outside doing a valve adjustment and i noticed this little "J" engraved in the cam:



Do stock b16a cams have this little J or are they aftermarket?

 

Anyone?

 

Hard to tell without looking at the ends of the cams where the identifier rings are.

Well the cams are in the car so i cant get pics of the ends. I just figured someone may know about the little J becuase ive seen aftermarket cams that had little letters like that on them.

better for you to ask HONDA itself......coz Japan has their own coding for their parts production.....Like all of their cars...there's a lot of model but same specs......just their code number is differents....all the features and specs is the same.........its very hard to confirm with you here.....you can go to for further assistance.
