You're just not doing it right.

RJ could build a front runner for $4.36 and a bag of Dolly Madison Donuts.

I know the feeling, I am killing myself running in GT-1, its crazy, the work and $$$ involved to run this thing is insane.
Sometimes I wonder if I should be running a Honda in IT, today was won of those days.
I am sore as hell, exhausted, dirty. We blew a fuel pump in qualifying, took almost all day to fix it, got out for a couple laps in an unlimited race to test, then ran in a 1 hour race. We had too the rear set up too stiff, and it basically beat me to hell, (local very bumpy track). These cars also get too hot inside, its almost unbearable. Oh well, its fun to go fast I guess, this is what it takes I guess, in a sedan anyway.

Wow. I'd never have done that (at least, I'd like to think so). If I was sporting around in a 350Z, I'd rather sell the race car and have something other than a thousand dollar car to drive to work.

Oh wait...I have a thousand dollar car to drive to work.

We really are stupid, aren't we.

I sold my S4 with about 12000 in upgrades. Now I have 3 cars for the price of 1.

Guess which combo I'm having more fun with :-D

Travis and I are already talking about doing the 2004 challenge in the eta. The only rule is that we can't make it something I can't comfortably drive to work every day (which is why I bought it).

If it has 110HP it's having a great day. I think that my MG, when it ran, would ROLL tthis thing. But if nothing else, it would be funny.

You game? I am.

It will still be very comfortable to drive ... as an open-wheel convertible 1987 BMW 325e. We'll leave the windshield in place so you don't have to wear your helmet while driving to work.

I'll bring the sawzall next weekend and we'll get to work.

I'm game. The way things are looking I'll still be unemployed. So time... yeah. I gots plenty of it.

Too bad you let that cheapo 325is driveline swap slip through your "busted *** that wasn't worthless enough for me to buy" fingers.

BTW - Did you know that the Albany Herald Sunday classifieds "Help Wanted" section never manages to be more than one friggin page? Excellent.

PS - If you're really considering this, save those suck-*** Kumhos. You can claim them as take-offs.

Actually, what you have to do is click the *send* button before you run off to the lab.

FYI, I'm starting with another H1 project car that RJ can later take credit for. I'm creating an Insight H1 car. This will be a very light weight car for SPU and HC.

Me and a couple of friends briefly discussed that idea, but knowing that the current (and next year's AFAIR) state that tires cannot stick out beyond the bodywork with no flaring we didn't think one could get enough rubber down to be competitive....especially with the closed rear fender.

Of course not really disecting one to see how much of a wheel one can fit in there it was pure conjecture.

Sounds like a very cool project, btw.

If it doesn't fit H1 no biggie. The intent is to create another SPU car as a lower cost than of the Civic I have. We're going to go with the D-Series engine and try to get a better weight to power ratio than of the current civic. We're just trying to find a front end damaged insight for cheap, replace the front core support and take it from there. I know some drag shops in NOVA that abandoned the insight idea after they had issues of the engine mounts holding after the lauch.
