So my ProSolo cherry has been popped.....
ran my first ProSolo today in Topeka.....all I can say is WOW!
to anyone who hasn't yet tried a ProSolo and isn't sold on them.....trust me, they are all they are cracked up to be....way better than National Tours, so many more runs, so much more adrenaline.
i did aiight for my first time out...finished 4th, one away from trophies, and 1.7seconds behind Youngers.
There are two silver linings to this: 1) I won the first round saturday morning, i was the only DS competitor in the 33's, and 2) I beat my car owner which, if you know whose car I drove you'd know that rarely happens.
Cliffnotes: Ran a ProSolo, I'm hooked, gonna do more next year

have you ever heard of entry caps??? you don't generally broadcast how great something is if it's already hard as hell for you to get in yourself.
congrats and glad you had fun though.
nate-one of the lucky to be accepted to the pro finale, and will be sending in his registration to events next year mere minutes after registration opens even if it requires staying up till way past mid-night....

btw nate, i'm looking forward to lining up next to you at a ProSolo next year.
oh yeah, the Kevin McCormick Civic STS was able to do some amazing things, like downshift into first and NOT peel the tire in the hairpins, which were VERY VERY tight.....
and i'm wasn't the only one going
at that
he won STS btw
carl-who looks forward to revised STS rules for 2004...bye bye 'frankencivic'

Glad you had a good time.
I did my first two this year out on the West Coast and they are an absolute blast. It brings a whole new level of adrenaline and excitement to autocross.
Can you post the finishing order, I'm interested in knowing how Ron and Jerry did.
Thanks.

I had a similar experience at Wendover. The talk was that it was well over 100, but I couldn't see any thermometers with the wet towel on my head.
Man that was hot. It was tolerable becuase of the breeze and dryness, but really hot. Remember I'm from Oregon, if it gets to 85 we all start bitchin.
