Default B20 Tranny Gearing

I was wondering where the tranny gearing on a B20 would place amongst these motors?

B16A
B18B
B18C1
B18C5

I am thinking of a swap into my 1992 si hatch. Curiosity has me.

One last question, anyone have a 2003 b24 in a hatch? If so, how goes it?

It is the B20B that I am referring to. It's a CRV motor from like 1997-2000 or something like that.

Anyone know the gearing?

Wouldn't the B20 tranny be hard use because of the AWD system and all?

B20B's are a very common swap into my civic, never heard of them being awd

Yes the motor is a very common swap. The transmission however I've never heard of being used because of this.

or b16a / b18c and so on?

if you want all motor then go with a b18c5 or b16 tranny c5 being better. if you want boost then the gsr tranny

Just buy a B16 tranny no matter what. They can be had for cheap and I would spend the saved money on a Quaife over the ITR LSD. IMHO.

true, but i think that the jdm R has real nice gearing. basically higher final drive but gsr 4th and 5th. all the R trannys have better synchos too. its cheaper to just get the type r tranny i think anyway vs a quaife b16a tranny even though the quaife would be a better lsd

yes they are common, but the transmission is NEVER used, just because of the fact that the car it came out of (the CRV) is realtime awd...and to convert that on your civic would just be dumb...you should use a b16a tranny, or any other b series tranny.
