Is it worth it for the money?
Ok, here's the deal. I'll be in the market for my first car very soon and can't decide on what to get. I would really like something new but, there aren't too many things under $15,000. I have found a couple of sub $15,000 new vehicles that I like though. I was also thinking about a used prelude or accord. What could I get for under $15,000? Also, would it be worth it to get a used car with more options, or a new car with less? BTW, I will probably be driving whatever I decide on for the next 5 years or so at least, so, it's kind of important to me. Thanks!
they'll kill me for saying it, but...get a used integra gsr. with the rsx out, it should drive prices down somewhat. you could pick up a nice one with low miles for pretty cheap. they have decent power, bulletproof drive train, and decent power.
definitely man...get an integra gsr. 95 preferably so u wont' have to deal wit all that obd2 bs. my integra is a 95 and i bought it for $10.500 with 79k miles on it...you prob won't be able to find this kind of a deal so i snatched it when i had the opportunity. i luv my gsr and im sure u will be satisfied too. its a high revving screamer. the b18C1 motor is the best to turbo out of honda motors too. the stock rods are so big...even bigger than prelude. lighter in weight alsoo...second only 100lbs more than the civic hb's
theres alot of cars u can get under 15
hybrid civic meaning buy a cheap civic and swap an engine
GSR
SI - only if your lucky u'll find that price
Preludes 5 gen - if your lucky also
300zx TT - hard to find in good shape
RX7 TT
Rustang
GSX
i would stick with honda for reliability

You should be able to find a 97 Prelude for $15k, or you could get the previous 4th generation like me. Great choice either way. The GSR is also a good car to get, infact i was set on getting one instead of this Lude, but things happened
The GSR is also not rare at all and you will probably be harassed more if you own one than say a Lude.

I'm selling my prelude for an M3. I love the ludes so much that's one of the few cars I'd get rid of my lude for... except for the obvious, like a Skyline or Ferrari.
I was dead set on getting an Integra but I found this 95 'lude vtec at a great price ( of course I have dealers liscense) but anway, I'm glad I got a Prelude vtec instead of an integra. Integras are great though, don't get me wrong...

I wouldn't buy a used 300ZX at this point unless your into tinkering with your car alot. I've seen way too many that need those little things that every 10 year old car need. You wind up spending the money on keeping it in tip top shape instead of on mods. I'd consider a Teg LS with a JRSC or Turbo, a 93-96 VTEC lude if you can find one in good shape. Or a 97-98 Base model 5th gen lude in great shape but with high miles.
