WTT or FS: White '96 GS-R Turbo
OK guys, the bills are piling up, the classes and time commitments are kicking my butt, and I can't stand the constant temptation of spending all my time and money on this car. I have to get out.
The car is in great physical and mechanical condition. Mobile 1 synthetic every 2500 miles since I bought the car with 55k on it, and back to regular oil at about 85k. Way too much of my money has been invested into maintaining this car to be like-new. Brand new Pirelli tires @ 80k, 90k mile service already done (new water pump/timing belt). Most all maintenance items that may be a concern over the next few years have been replaced, such as radiator, radiator fans, clutch and brake master cylinders, rotors, pads, clutch, etc. I have all documentation on *EVERYTHING* done to the car since purchase in May '01. My upgrades and maintenance include:
- Custom T3/T04E turbo kit
- Tial 35mm wastegate w/.35 bar (5 psi) spring
- Greddy type S blow off valve
- Custom Garrett turbo from Majestic Turbo in Waco; 57 compressor
trim, .48 A/R ceramic coated turbine housing
- Drag Gen. III ceramic coated downpipe and exhaust manifold
(ceramics by Polymer Dynamics of Houston)
- Braided SS flex hose on downpipe for durability
- Magnaflow high-flow catalytic converter, resonator, 18" straight-
through SS muffler and tip
- Custom 2.5 inch exhaust piping
- Custom Spearco intercooler
- Custom chrome-plated intercooler piping
- New tint w/high heat rejection coefficient
- Autometer Exhaust Gas Temp. and boost gauges in dash bezel pod
- Cartech billet 2-way adjustable fuel pressure regulator
- Walbro in-tank 255lph high pressure fuel pump
- Short Throw Shifter w/polyurethane bushings
- Momo “Air Race Leather” shift ****
- Energy Suspension polyurethane torque mount stiffeners
- New copper, dual core, 1.25” thick radiator
- Action 2KS (Kevlar face) clutch w/3000 miles
- ACT Racelight 8.8lb flywheel w/3000 miles
- New clutch master cylinder
- New Brake Master cylinder
- Missing Link MAP check valve eliminator
- Slightly lowered compression (9.75 : 1) w/new head gasket for safety
- Mild exhaust port work for great spool-up characteristics
- Greddy Turbo timer custom-mounted in ashtray
- New Brake pads/rotors/lines from Cobalt Friction (Axxis Ultimate
Ceramic pads)
- Recent A/C check and charge
- Refinishing on 2 factory GS-R wheels - looks very nice
Audio:
- Pioneer Premier DEH-P930 head unit w/13 band EQ
- Focal Polykevlar components in front
- MB Quart components in rear
- JL Audio 500/1 class D sub amp
- 3 JL 10W1's in custom stealth tire well enclosure
- Brown Bread noise matting in hatch area and doors
This car is not ricey, whatsoever. The only thing that makes it obvious to someone that there's a completely Custom T3/TO4E turbo kit lurking under the hood, is the fact that they're behind you, trying desperately to figure out what the hell just happened..........well, and maybe the modest-sounding exhaust that doesn't look/sound stock. ;o) My gauges are in the dash-type bezel pod, and the new tint is nice and dark, so that if they could even see the gauges, they won't see much on them.
I know that many of you are going to say "can you part the kit out of the car?!".... My only answer can be: yes, only if you're willing to drive to Austin in a few weeks, when I have time, and help me take it out, and trade me oil pans!
I have never been to the drag strip in this car, and have never boosted over 6psi, though it's very capable of 8-10 psi with the new head gasket, exhaust porting work, and *slight* decrease in compression.
I have had countless people tell me that my Integra has the cleanest looking body they've seen on a '96 (new paint 3 years ago), cleanest looking turbo install, and cleanest sounding system.........ever. And I'm so proud to say that I did the work myself.
I am entertaining offers, and am pretty firm on around 11k. Estimated investment in this car, not counting regular maintenance: $10,000. I can part out some of the things in the car if you are not able to afford it, such as the subs/sub amp. I have COUNTLESS pictures of the turbo install, so please email me with what else you'd like to see. Pictures were taken about 10 months ago. Pictures are of the car, and of most parts, both before and after installation.
Finally, I'll consider a trade for that's near stock. I'll consider anything at this point, though a 98 or later Civic/Integra/Prelude would be nice.
