Default My Bone Stock 1996 Civic DX Sedan (Nine 640x480 pics)

Hey everyone, I decided to take some shots of my car since I just got it last wednesday. It's obviously nothing special now, but I wanted to make a post to use as a reference for it's progress in the future. With that said, let me know what you think of the pictures since this was my first time really using my camera, the Olympus C-4000Z.

Hope those work...

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I appreciate them. Lol, that E.T. scenery was in my driveway at midnight before it was paved the next day. I was in a hurry to take the pictures since it was late, so I just set the camera on automatic and the only variation of settings was playing with the white balance a bit. As for that "ant's view" shot, the camera was set on my garage floor and angled up by resting on a grungy old kitchen sponge, which can be seen at the bottom of the picture. Some of my plans for the car are as follows:

Interior
Razo Palm Grip 400g shift **** (ordered)
CTR Shift Boot (ordered)
CTR Replica Floor Mats (ordered)

Exterior
JDM Ferio Badge (ordered)
CTR Front and Rear Lip
CTR Style Grill
CTR Style Headlights
CTR Power Folding Mirriors
Si Style Taillights
Everything Paint Matched

Engine
JC Whitney "will do for now" CAI (ordered)
RSR Exmag

Suspension/Wheels
Rota Subzeros, Circuit 10s, Grids? (any opinions?)

Well that doesn't seem like much, and these are all just ideas for the near future, but I'm open to different things. I just made this list so you guys can see my train of thought on my plans, in a sense. Let me just just throw out a few questions here to see what you guys think.

Which wheels do you guys think? Tires? I was leaning toward the Grids (gunmetal w/polished lip).
What spring/strut combo for a decent ride and a drop that would close most of the wheel gap?
Engine mods? I was thinking maybe a Greddy turbo kit or a swap, both of which would take awhile to save up for, but which would be better considering I have squat for tools and the work would be done at my friend's house.
ALL OTHER SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!

C'monnn, no comments? Would it be worth it to turbo the Y7? Should I get a Y8 and turbo that?

i wouldn't worry about exterior too much, just get your moldings painted and get a nice front lip. any of the rims mentioned would be nice for the car, just more of a color option you would have to deal with. work on the suspension and motor first. then worry about your badges and what not.

good luck bro, and those pics did come out nice.

Thanks again and again for your replies guys. The reason I wanted the badge and stuff is because anything looks better than that ugly "DX" one back there, though getting it wasn't my first choice. These things may even just be temporary, but I got them because I had some money burning a hole in my pocket since last November and wanted to get some little things to keep me happy. I have crank windows and manual locks, but DX's can be had with sunroofs. It's a powered one too, go figure. ...And ya I realize how low it is, lol all that stuff is on my to do list. I'm thinking a b18c with bolt-ons will be my choice for engine work, as turboing the current engine would bring too much maintenance for my means. Thanks.

Nice start dude...Great lookin car...

Just wonderin are those your stock lights?

About your plans fo your car, I wouldnt worry to much on the exterior and interior stuff...Just concentrate on gettin a swap, as it was said before time to retire the old DX motor, a nice affordable swap would be either a B18B or B20Z which will drop right into your car plus these motors are easy to find and again cheap...

But another question you asked was about suspension, since you are lookin into Lowering Springs and shocks, the best combo I can suggest too you is Progress Springs and Koni Reds, the drop is about 2.3 front and rear, I personally run this setup and it handles great and rides as smooth as stock ...

Wheel and tire wise, go for that sleeper look and grab some 14 inch HX wheels....

By the way I hope you didnt get no ricey red or blue CTR replica floor mats dude..

Anyways good luck with the car

Thank you, I value your opinion. Those are stock lights, and I'll look into that suspension setup because it sounds like just what I'm looking for. I'd have to think about the whole sleeper look though, but it is very tempting...I kind of like the idea of a little fashion in my car. Rofl the floormats are red CTR replicas, but I only have ugly rubber ones right now. Like I said though, this stuff isn't all finalized and permanent...I just wanted to spend some cash that I had laying around.

NEWS FLASH
Arghhh...I just got my Razo **** today, installed it, and then broke it within an hour . That little bitch is only held on by a puny *** screw! The weight of it felt really nice though when it was on there. Does anyone have suggestions on a different weighted **** that is threaded on the inside instead? The Spoon Duracon looks nice, is that threaded? Thanks a million.

slam it, get 16" Circuit 10s or 8s, mugen lip, CTR headlights and you should be set on the outside

inside? B18C1/5 maybe?
