K20 oil change Owns me
Now before you guys judge me let me tell you bit of my honda experience.
I have built a ~12:1 B16
Installed numerous Turbo kits
Installed NOS. Direct port and single fogger
Completed Many engine swaps to Ef's Eg's and Eks
But this frigging filter owned me. It took me 3 hours to remove.
I hate u K series

On a good note. My motor has 5000 miles and this thing is getting stronger day to day. I love the way the ****** pulls from 7000 RPM to cut off

HAhahhaahaah! Oh ****! LOL! hahahahha! Dude tell me about it! That damn filter is bitch to take out. I wish I had pics to show mines! LOL! You actually used all that tool to take that filter out, DENG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used my own hands w/ a rubber glove. It worked for a couple oil changes, but the 4th time, DAMN!!!!!!!
That **** is hard to take out! Well at least you got it out, heheheheeh!

You can buy a cap that fits over the oil filter at autozone... you attach it to a 3/8" breaker bar/socket and twist away.... I rarely change my own oil anymore, but when i have to its worth the $5 to pick this up.

Thats why i dont change my own oil. I spend an extra $6 and i dont have to crawl on my back in the parking lot/driveway and i dont have to dispose of the old oil.

Some of the difficulty is the resized little filter, you will notice the outer metal edge of the filter housing actually tightenes down on the metal of the filter area. They are a pain in the a$$ to remove, but better that than it coming off.

I had the same problems too. If you take off your stock strut bar, you can get a much better grip on it.
Oh yeah, try not to buy the STP filters for your car, they are really really short and it makes it that much harder to grip. I stick with Fram and whoever makes those big white ones.

How are you guys going at the oil filter? I haven't done the oil change on my 03 Type-S, but I've done it on my buddy's a couple of times, and we had no problems getting the filter off, maybe we've been lucky. We've taken the wheel off and reached in the wheel well and through to the oil filter, and unscrewed it by hand to get it out each time.

(after using a hammer and screwdriver first to loosen it).
I guess the factory uses air tools to install the first filter.
