Hey, I got a new eacv to fix the idle on my ZC. Does the coolant need to be drained before putting this on?


Anyone know where I can get the rubber seal for this?

 

Honda dealer maybe.... Whats the new EACV off of?

 

the eacv is from a 89 teg i think. Looks to be identical to the one on my zc. So can I just pull the old one off and put on the new one or do I have to drain the coolant 1st?

 

I didnt drain my coolant and I did both on my first gen b16 the one the back of the intake manifold, and I did the one directly under the throttle body, didnt drain coolant, BUt I did let the car cool for 2hours before I messed with it.

 

No you don't need to drain the coolant, just try to keep the hoses up because if they fall and face the ground coolant will flow out.
