MSD SCI burned out my distributor
my msd burned out my distributor. what happened and does anyone kno how i can fix this. so far all my homies said that i've been running the car too hard, but my car barely sees 6k...i got a new distributor installed and i don't wanna mess this one up... before you guys start asking for details, i was running the SS Blaster coils to the msd cap. someone help me out......
How are you definite on the cause? Are you going by your homies thoughts or actual facts? If it's old it could have possibly just went bad on ya
What do you mean your distributor crapped out? Was it making a squeaking noise before it died? Or did it melt your rotor? Alot of times when you remove your internal coil, moistier gets in there and begins to rust out the bearing. I have had good results ( about 2 years without a problem) using a spay white lithium grease inside the cap on the gear..
