Default Need help with B16A1 place racing mount kit

I bought a 1990 CR-X with a B16A1 already in it Yesterday I inntalled an Integra LS tranny, as well as LS linkage, and a Place Racing Trhree motor mount kit, but I ran into a problem, the motor will not line up with the transmission mount because the header hits the front crossmember. Also the LS shift linkage (which numerous people have told me fitsright in perfect) looks like it will be too long. Has anyone had this problem with the Place racing kit, and if so how do I fix it. The car will go into JOTECH (the local tuning shop) in two weeks if I can't fix this.

the motor mounts lining up is my main concern. Anyone know if it harms chassis rigidity if I hack saw about 2 inches out of the front crossmember so the header will fit?

I had my B16 installed at a shop who used Place Racing mounts. Thats what they did, just notched the crossmember so the headers would not hit.

I used an adjustable shift linkage myself, but i've heard of peeps shaving a few inches off of the linkage. Not really sure how they did it, but surf around the internet...i think someone might have wut your lookin for.

The motor not lining up is due to the header, the mount kit positions the motor more forward so your clearance for a good header is removed. To solve this problem you will need to purchase a place race x-member and you should be able to drop in a phat 4-1 with out a problem. As for the shiftlinkage the Integra one is the best one to use but you will need to have it cut and rewelded to fit, but when all is said and done it will be a nice tight no play shift.
