I saw this volvo s80 t5 today. at traffic light i rev up rpm. lights change first gear all the way to 4k rpm but he didnt speed up so i change to second. same thing but when i went in the thrid gear around 4500rpm the guy start speeding so ithird gear i went all the way to 8400 rpm but but but i see that car just pass by me. GOd damn it.
is there anyone have been racing with volvo t5 ??
my friend told me if just pick up itr would win but not after third gear is it true ?

your not gonna smoke a high model volvo, get an s4 and try again bro... honestly those volvos are ****** evil sleepers.

 

S80 probably had his turbo on boil when it decide to out run you. In the mean time your rpm was way below VTEC (4700rpm?).. by the time you VTEC-ed he probably had a good 2-3 car length... if not more.

i check on the data s80 t6 is almost the same speed at itr 0-60 1/4mile itr won 1/4 by .1 sec 0-60 is .3~4sec not much different tho

but the thing is i saw him coming b4 i step on my gas pedal. i think that's why i lost need more improvement on that !!! hehe

 

your lucky its wasnt a Volvo 850 T5-R. When i lived in Europe i remember seeing these all the time. seeing a turbocharged yellow Volvo station wagon doing near 150mph is pretty scary.. We were doing 135mph ('00 bmw 528i) and it was gone out of sight in a matter of seconds.

 

Volv 850 T5-R is fast, but not that fast. Howerver, there are tons of Volvo tuners in Europe... and it's pretty easy to find an aftermarket chip to up the HP. (like any other turbo-ed cars).
