Default Brake pedal affecting RPM'a???

I have a 1994 GSR, and had a question. For a while now, everytime I'm at a stop, and I press the brake pedal down all the way and let if off, my rpm's will increase by a few hundred, then go back down to idle. I usually idle at around 800rpm, but when I press down on the brake pedal hard and let it off, it goes to about 1200-1300rpm, then back down to 800rpm. Is this normal? Well, any advice/suggestions is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Actually Teken the most likely cause is . . .

The Brake Booster is connected to the Intake manifold for vacuum. When you press the brakes the booster pulls some air and lowers RPMs due to lack of pressure in the intake manifold.

That make sense?

This questions was asked here a few days ago. http://www.honda-acura.net/forums/sh...=brake+booster

I just copied my original reply.

sorry for the old thread only one i seen when i searched, and the link didnt work for me.

so this is perfectly normal for the car to do this when you push the brake a few times and the RPM's go up then for them to go extremely low till u touch the gas pedal again?

My 00 GSR will change rpms when you press and release the brake pedal, but it won't stay low, it will return to normal.

It shouldn't stay low. Should just go up and back down to normal idle.
