Hey folks, I was wondering if anyone could help me with something.

I have a Civic Coupe, which has a dark grey colourd dash. This isn't so much of a problem but I'v never been keen on grey as a dash colour and wanted to turn it black. Now I understand I could prime and paint the dash black but I have heard recently of something which is more of a dye. It says in the description it dyes the plastic rather than cover it which would be more useful for something which was going to get a few knocks and bangs.

Has anyone had experience with this ? If so does the effect wear ? chip ? scratch easily ? Does sun affect it much ? anything you could tell me about it would be of great help.

Also I have like the slide switch's for my heater controls. Would fitting the JDM type-r centre console cause a problem (Its the ones with the dials on the right and a double din sized space in the middle, bit like the new K series, Mine is a 99 coupe)
