help with overheating (did a search but nothing)
ok my car started over heating about two months ago (the car always sits as i never drive it that much). The cooling fan was not coming on so we replace the fan switch (the fan is good we checked) and that didn't fix it so we replaced the cooling fan realy with a known working one and that still didn't work. Is there anything else i'm over looking? we had the thermostat replaced a little over a year ago but the car has only had about 5,000 miles put on it since then so it shouldn't have went out again should it? Like i said the cooling fan is good we hot wired it and the radiator is almost new. PLEASE help i need to get this fixed asap. I need to have it fixed before the nopi nationals cause i don't wanna go down there with it overheating like this. I guess if not i could always hot wire the fan to stay on whenever the car is on.
Check or replace the CTS, collant temp switch. Back of the block, just to the left and up of the oil filter. 2 wires. This is assuming you havea D series engine, not sure on the B.
