Default Fuel Pressure Regulator vs. VAFC

I finally got my cams installed and want to know the advantages of using an FPR to raise fuel pressure instead of a VAFC to dump more fuel.

Currently, I've been using the VAFC, but I guess I'm curious if there is performance to be gained by using a higher fuel pressure as oppossed to a longer duty cycle.

Teken,

Question for you.

I have a a 96 JDM ITR Wat should be the setting of my FPR?
Second is wat should the setting be on teh V-AFC? Can I tune the Fuel Flow without dynoing it? Any pointers or tips you can give me? I currently do not have any money to get it tuned correctly.

Thanks

Canyou also tell me the correct way to adjust the FPR?

Actually, he only needs the V-afc until he needs more than ~12%, in which case the V-afc will make the MAP throw a code. If he has lower fuel enrichment needs, then a FPR is a waste of money.

Teken: Remove the vacuum line leading to the FPR... Adjust FPR for WOT injection and never pass the no return PSI level of 60 PSI... Doing so will result in a premature failure of your fuel pump... The max 60 PSI is only the peak load available to the fuel system and is not meant for RMS steady state PSI levels that is required to run the car... Lates
Do you mean 60psi with the hose on? and is this at IDLE or WOT? I've always had my ITR motor at about 50psi at idle (I run about the same now) with the hose on. TIA, -C

Anything over 3-5% probably wont do anything anyway
