no battery tiedown, fail inspection?
i am going to waterbury tomorrow for an auto-x. will i pass inspection with no battery tiedown in the engine bay? if not, can i ghetto rig something, i lost mine a few weeks ago. thanks
If your battery can move while the car is turning or braking you probably won't pass inspection. It's a safety hazard isn't it? Just find something to hold it down, it's mainly for your own safety, why wouldn't you?
thanks for the quick responses, it does wobble right now, i have a tiedown but i do not have the 2 rods that tension it, any suggestions about what i can use?

go to your local hardware store (ie: Home Depot, Lowes, Ace) and buy a ? length of all thread rod and cut down to size. Nuts or bend the bottom end.

Now just why in the hell would you want to toss your car around with the battery loose anyway?
Dood. Use a little common sense. OF COURSE the battery needs to be secure.

while we are talking about tech inspections... im going to lowes next weekend. to do the hyperdrive, they are doing a "small" tech inspection. i replaced my pads today, lights work, battery is tied down, umm, enough tire tread.. just my horn doesnt work. anything else i should check over?
do i need a horn to take 1-2 laps?

Perhaps your fluids? Oil, coolant, brake fluid, etc.
Other than that, it seems fine.
