PG7 into a 89 DX CRX?

PG7 into a 89 DX CRX?
My friend has a 89 DX CRX and we where curious if we could put the pg7 ecu in the car for now? I'm not sure if it will work or not since the dx is DPFI and the ecu is for a MPFI.
